Bek

Bek has worked at The Launceston Art Centre since 2018, but has been creating amazing art all of her life. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Queensland College of Art, we consider ourselves very lucky to have Bek’s experience and knowledge among us (and so do our customers!).

After dabbling in pencils, watercolours and oils throughout her artistic life, over the last few years Bek has been fine tuning her skills at digital art, using both a computer and a drawing tablet. Fantasy and science fiction she enjoys creating most, however she also has a deep love for the Pre-Raphaelite artists and the portrait work of John Singer Sargent.

In her spare time, if isn’t reading, drawing or watching a movie, Bek will pop on her wildlife cap. As a registered wildlife carer, she specialises in caring for Macropods such as Bennetts Wallabies and Pademelons, couple that with her two Shih Tzu x Maltese puppies and she is kept very busy.

Having travelled all over the world (and Australia) we consider ourselves lucky that she has made her way to Tasmania. We think you will love Bek just as much as we do!
